Haiti earthquake appeal charity single!
Joe said “Its an honour to be apart of the Haiti charity single. Its truly devastating what has happened over there and I want to do anything I can to help and raise money. Its great to be apart of such an amazing line up who have all taken time out of their schedules to help with this tragic cause’
All proceeds from the single will be donated to ‘DEC’ (Disasters Emergency Committee) http://www.dec.org.uk/
Disasters Emergency Committee, Chief Executive Brendan Gormley said: ‘We are absolutely delighted to help those recording, producing and buying this charity single make a difference in Haiti. More and more water, food, household items and medical supplies are getting through to the earthquake survivors. Joe’s Blog - The National Televison Awards, Brit Award Nomination and more!

"Hi Everybody!
I went to the National Television Awards this week which was fantastic. I had such a good time! Being able to do the red carpet was so surreal and the atmosphere was great. To be able to perform at the O2 and especially opening the show was just crazy and it was the best feeling being up on that stage performing in an arena!...It was good practise for the XF tour next month!
It was also great to catch up with John and Edward and to see their performance which was so entertaining. Also, I managed to catch up with everyone from the X-Factor and I’m so happy that they won the award. To be able to catch up with the judges was brilliant too. I met lots of TV personalities like Joanna Lumley, Amanda Holden, Piers Morgan, Arlene Phillips and of course, Vanilla Ice!! Haha!
Lots of people were asking me last night about being nominated for a Brit Award. Well, I can’t believe it! I was so excited and honoured when I saw my name come up on the nominations when I was watching it on the telly! I can’t believe the other artists who are in the same category as me and its just amazing to now be nominated for a Brit Award is really surreal!
Anyway, I’m in the studio for a bit today and then I head off back home to Newcastle. Cant wait to get started for the X-Factor Tour rehearsals – I can’t wait!

Joe McElderry Climbs to his First Brit Nomination!
The nominations for this years Brit Awards have been announced and Joe McElderry’s No1 hit ‘The Climb’ has been nominated in the ‘Best British Single’ category!
Joe released ‘The Climb’ following his victory on The XFactor! In a bizarre twist, Joe’s single became a national talking point as it battled for the Christmas Number 1 with American rock band Rage Against The Machine! Although ‘The Climb’ narrowly missed out on the Christmas top spot many agree it was the most exciting chart race in years! Joe scored his Number 1 with The Climb the following week and sales of ‘The Climb’ reached a staggering 600,000!
The Brit Awards now in their 30th year celebrate the best in British music and for a full list of all the nominations in each category visit http://www.brits.co.uk/

I hope you all had a brilliant Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
I went skiing for the New Year in Austria I had a brill time… but it was very cold!! I actually do think there was more snow in England though!!.
I’ve been home for a couple of weeks and recharged the batteries and caught up with all the family after a busy couple of months. Can’t wait for this year and SOOO excited to start working on the album!!. Got the X Factor tour coming up in a couple of weeks too which is going to be amazing. Hope to cya all there !!
