3 months after being crowned X Factor winner 2009, Joe has been signed as the new face of international top modelling agency Next Models. Joe’s first photo shoot was with fashion photographer Simon Harris, who famously shot Naomi Campbell for last year’s August edition of I-D magazine.
Joe says – ‘I couldn’t believe it when I saw the pictures of myself! I really enjoyed the shoot and I’m so pleased to be signed to Next. I’m really enjoying learning more about this industry and it will be really exiting to continue doing this alongside my music.’
Director of Next management Amanda Bretherton says – ‘Next Models are very excited to be representing Joe McElderry to add our roster of top name British models including Max Hurd the new face of Burberry, Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe . Not only does Joe have those classic James Dean type looks but he also is such a great brand ambassador. Joe photographs fantastically and has great potential. He has fashion leads lined up already and we are already in talks with two major British designers who are keen for Joe to front campaigns. We hope this will complement his music career.
